Arteta magic gives Everton the edge
Everton 1 - 0 Bolton Wanderers
Everton were under some pressure to perform, having lost their last three games, and their leading scorer, so the visit of Bolton provided a substantial challenge to the resilience of Moyes's boys. But they responded well, keeping things reasonably tight, with Mikel Arteta capping a superb personal display on the hour when he strode forward and fired home a screamer off his left foot from 25 yards to win the game in fine style.
